Documents To Accompany Application

a) the certificate of incorporation, memorandum of association and particulars of directors of the company;

b) planning permission or certificate of occupancy from the Ministry responsible for planning that the premises to be used for trading as a Motor Vehicle’s Dealer complies with the requirements of planning under the laws of Seychelles;

c) the fee specified below;

d) proof that the Manager or its Directors of the applicant has or have the necessary experience to engage in such a business;

e) a document to the satisfaction of the Authority showing that there is a policy of
insurance (Motor Trade) under the Motor Vehicles Insurance (Third Party Risks)
Regulations in respect of motor vehicles in force on the date of application;

f) a lease agreement or proof of ownership of the premises to be used to carry out the business;

g) bank statement showing the working capital of SR 600,000 and in the case the working capital is SR 300,000 proof of credit facilities from overseas suppliers.

h) Provide copy of Seychelles Identity Card.

I) Provide proof of home address.

TO COMPLY WITH ROAD TRANSPORT ACT AND REGULATIONS (Cap 206) AND LICENCES (Motor Vehicle Dealer) REGULATIONS CURRENTLY IN FORCE

– The trade plate allocated to you is ST.

LICENCE IS NOT TRANSFERABLE

‘’Once Issued, Licence Fee is Non-Refundable’’.

1. A Motor Vehicle Dealer’s Licence shall authorise the use on a road of any Motor Vehicle or Trailer being driven or drawn to the Motor Dealer’s or manufacturer’s or repairer’s place of business after delivery thereof to him, or being tested by the Motor Dealer, manufacturer or repairer, or being tested or used for the purpose of effecting a sale or for such other purpose as may be prescribed by the Authority; provided that a Motor Vehicle Dealer’s licence shall not authorise the carriage of passengers or goods for hire or reward or of any person not employed by the Motor Dealer, manufacturer or repairer, as the case may be, or not engaged in testing the vehicle or inspecting the same with a view of purchase.

2. The holder of a Motor Dealer’s licence shall not use the Trade Plates except for the purpose specified in Section 5 A of the Road Transport Act and between 6am and 6pm on any day.

3. To display this licence at a conspicuous place on the business premises specified in the licence.
